Welcome! My name is Anna Spisak, and I started Embodied Future in 2023 as a commitment to support individuals & groups on their paths toward healing and sustained transformation through Somatic coaching and bodywork.
After a decade of talk therapy and a lifetime of mental health struggles, my personal healing journey led me to Somatics in 2017. I began training at the Strozzi Institute in 2021 and completed Somatic Coach & Bodyworker coursework in 2023.
I specialize in working with people who are navigating transition, especially artists and creatives who are bringing their ideas to form and folks who are navigating complex or challenging relationships. I am also an artist and a nerd about relational technology.

Somatic Coaching is a process for achieving sustainable transformation.
In Somatic Coaching, your body is the central site of learning, experimentation, and transformation. We use embodiment practices to clarify and move toward the future you desire.
Somatic Coaching often resonates with people who agree with any of the listed statements.
Each of these services uses Somatic methodologies and focuses on an embodiment-oriented approach.
During sessions, we'll clarify what you're yearning for, develop an awareness of old patterns blocking you, and practice new ways of being.
60-min sessions are standard for first-time clients, but shorter and longer sessions are available if necessary.
During these sessions, we'll identify places where energy is stuck or being held in your body, then use hands-on bodywork techniques to move and release energy.
90-min sessions are standard for first-time clients, but shorter and longer sessions are available if necessary. Sessions are fully clothed.
In these pair and group sessions, we use Somatic methodologies to explore a structured curriculum on specific topics through an embodiment lens.

While Somatic Coaching is suitable for most people, it is important to work with a certified trauma specialist if this is something you know or suspect may be part of your healing journey.
Please note: I am not personally a certified trauma specialist, so folks with CPTSD, complex trauma, or acute trauma may be better served by seeing a licensed therapist, psychologist, or trauma specialist. I can support you by connecting you with a trauma specialist in my network.
If trauma does reveal itself during our time together, I can also support you by connecting you with a trauma specialist in my network.
Yes! Somatic Coaching pairs well with other healing and therapeutic modalities, including CBT or talk therapy. In general, Somatic Coaching is a good addition to any existing mental health regimen.
While I am generally comfortable working across social locations, I ask all new clients to start with a free 1-on-1 Chemistry Call so we can meet and get a sense of whether I will be the best Somatic Coach to help you meet your goals. During the Chemistry Call, I’ll make space for us to discuss social locations.
If you’d prefer to work with a Somatic Coach who shares specific social locations with you, I’d be delighted to connect you with a Coach in my network who would be a more suitable fit!
The Strozzi Institute's Somatic Coaching program is the world's first and most comprehensive of its kind, using a methodology that has been fine-tuned over the past 50 years and is ICF-accredited.
The methodology blends body-based practices, mindfulness, martial arts, action-oriented communication, and generative conflict training, among many other influences in its living lineage.
